Finding the time, with two little ones, to make a blog post is getting harder and harder. I am finding that I need to always have things pre-packed, or pre-ready, or pre-planned because spur of the moment just does not work out for us. For example, trying to leave for church, is nearly impossible if I don't plan ahead. The last two Sundays we have arrived with about 10 minutes left in the service- totally infuriating, especially since we live 40 minutes away from church so we have to drive all the way there just to miss most of it- drives me nuts. So, I realize that the diaper bag needs to be packed the night before and outfits for the kids (an most importantly myself) need to be decided on and laid out the night before as well. The number one thing I have to remind myself...my husband is little to no help, so I must do everything myself or delegate to the"t". And when in the most hurried flurry to leave the house always remember,  " Can I feed em and change em" and that will about cover your most important items.

Noah is getting a little more friendly with his little sister so that is an upside. I still have to watch him like a hawk, but he isn't trying to hurt her on purpose as much. Hopefully in a couple more months he will start to be more helpful than hurtful.

Stella is 2 months old today!! Wow! time goes so fast. I have to remind myself that I have about 6 months to keep saying, "I just had a baby" before I can't really use that as my weight loss excuse. I'm working at it, but it is a slooooooowww process.

Girly Things

Stella is not even two months old yet and she has a plethora of hair accessories. I can't help it, they are so cute. Etsy, of course, has a ton of options for headbands and hair bows, especially if you want something unique. The pink headband with the feathers in the picture below, I got from Etsy. The white headband with the orange flower and the all pink one are from this website Funny Girl Designs. I just wanted to share because sometimes we have to find these things out on our own as mommies and it stinks when you find out too late.

Very Pregnant

There is a level of attention that you get when you are pregnant that is kind of nice. People who normally wouldn't talk to you, chat you up. Your friends, family, and coworkers ask how you are doing, call more, and worry more. Your husband ( at least he tries anyway)does more around the house to be helpful. However, the downside of people having no filter, is that they really will say anything to you without thinking that it might be rude.

I have passed the point of "cute" pregnant. My stomach is so far forward I literally feel like it might fall off my body. The stretch marks resemble a shattered windshield or a road map. The boobs are droopy and no longer perky.  So when that stranger says, " Wow, you look like you could go any day." or " Are you sure you should be out by yourself." or "Whoa, when are you due?" or "Oh my gosh,  you are really huge." It makes you want to punch them right in the face. Pregnant people have feelings people... and for your safety you should remember that they have more intensified feelings because they are hormonal. So, just smile, say congratulations and move on.

I have a little less than 4 weeks left, if I carry until my due date, which is June 21st. I was late with my first and had to be induced, but for some reason, I do feel that I may go early this time.  I rarely post pics of myself pregnant because I do not feel cute or adorable, but I thought I would share just a couple.

These pics were taken on May 9th so I had about six weeks left at this point.

Baby Update

I have an app on my phone that tracks my pregnancy ( roughly) since you only enter your due date. I think it's weird to compare your baby to a food, but I guess it's a good visual. I am now more pregnant than not pregnant, she will be here before we know it!!

A little bit at a time

I've been trying to space out shopping for this little girl. Adam said, "every time you leave the house you come back with clothes." I really can't argue this, because I do, but I'm trying to just get a few things here and there. There is also a very nice second hand store in a great neighborhood by my house. They only accept clothes in great condition and mostly name brand. The prices are so good, I usually get a lot of things because it is such a good deal. I found these adorable little tights and could not resist. They are the smallest pair of tights I have ever seen.

Rub a Dub

Bath time is always exciting. I'm trying to build and maintain his confidence in the water by making him think its funny and fun to dump water on his head. He is starting to dump water on his own head. He will also lay on his belly and stick parts of his face in the water. As soon as its not a blizzard in Ohio, we are going to do actual swim lessons. For now, the bath will have to do.

Girl or Boy???

I had my 20 week ultra sound this morning. Here is a pretty good profile picture. My husband was suppose to be there, but he had an unavoidable, important, one day business trip to take( which totally bummed him out and frustrated the pregnant hormones out of me).
My mom came to help with Noah and I had the nurse put the results in an envelope that I will open when Adam gets back Friday night. She was pretty smart and stapled the envelope so I couldn't cheat ( it already crossed my mind to look and just act surprised) but now I will just have to wait.
Soooo... What are your guesses? Girl or boy?

Adding a Little Baby Cheer

Due to my slight addiction to Pinterest, I have become a little obsessed with being extra ordinarily creative. No longer is is okay to just say you are pregnant...there are a multiple of much more creative ways to go about telling the world that you are going to have another child.

I found out I was pregnant very quickly this time around (we were trying) so at Halloween I told my parents with the pumpkin idea below. At Thanksgiving we were ready to tell our close friends and family and I sent an email with the other photos you see. I, of course, told my closest friends and family in person, because I love to see their reactions.

If you saw my last post, that is how I announced to the "public" that I am pregnant!!

Camera Cleaning

We are going camping this coming up weekend and I like to make sure the camera memory is emptied and ready to go for special events. It's my worst nightmare (well one of many) to have a special moment happen and the camera memory be full or the battery dies. Call me neurotic (it's okay, I accept it) but I just had to transfer over pictures before this weekend.

WELL! it's a good thing I did, because holy pictures, batman!! I sadly use my iphone more then the Cannon and I was completely unaware of how many pictures I had left on the camera memory. It took forever, and I mean more than an hour, to transfer over all the pictures to their proper files on the computer. Not to mention, my iphone was pretty jammed packed with images and video.

Last month, we went to an apple orchard (I posted some pics of that already) but I found some new ones on the Cannon. Also, I pretty much despise our current location and our neighborhood and the city we live in BUT we do have about 8 trees on this one part of our street that are magnificent in the fall. We took Noah for a walk to snap some fall time photos and those pics are below too.

Now I am all ready for this weekend.(well I still have to pack, and grocery shop, do laundry, and clean the house, but at least the cameras are ready)

Side note: I have an obscene amount of pictures on my computer... I mean 1000's of them. My goal this summer was to put them into photo books using shutterfly or something. Well...I didn't make a one! I just feel like it's so much work and money to get the pics from my computer to have hard copies. If anyone reads this, what do you do with all your pictures??? I'm afraid to only have digital copies, in case, God forbid, something were to happen. I would probably have to be committed to a mental hospital if 18 months of baby pictures were erased. That's why I feel like I need hard copies....what do you all do??

Wide Open Internet

I am clearly aware that you can find just about anything on the Internet. I am also aware that not everything you read is true. And I am also aware that whatever you put out there in digital form can and will travel through the Internet at an alarming rate. I just had my own personal experience with the latter. I know, being a blogger, that I should not have been caught by surprise, but I was.

I was browsing through Pinterest when I came across this photo....

And I was like, "Oh My God, wait a minute....that's my baby!! Those are my husbands hands!!" It was one of those moments where you have to stare at it for awhile, just to make sure you are in fact seeing what you are seeing.  Even though I have seen images from blogs I follow on Pinterest, seeing my own baby was weird. Especially since I did not post it originally.  Needless to say, I contacted our photographer and decided to order more pictures because we never originally ordered this one (is that crazy?) I don't care, I did it anyway.

Noah will be 18 months on the 23rd of this month and it really feels like a long time since he was only 2 weeks old (that's when this picture was taken). If anything it brought back some memories. I can't believe how fast time has gone.

Lesson: if you don't want it out there, don't put it anywhere.

Happy Tuesday!

I didn't have to work today so I am looking forward to getting some things done that I did NOT do this weekend. One thing I DID do (see pics below) is get some baby food made with my baby bullet. I made a post about getting it some time ago and I was putting it off. I think I was afraid it might be hard or that I wouldn't do it right. I told myself this weekend to jump in and do it. The pics below are the fruit making process- so so so easy! I can't wait to try more varieties.

The fruit making process was super easy and quick. I found this microwave steamer at Babies R' US by Annabel Karmel and it makes softening the harder foods, so quick.
This is the freezer storage tray that comes with the Baby Bullet system. I also bought more food containers so I could make food in bulk.
Here is Noah in his high chair for the first time. I thought I would throw this in for good measure. Happy Eating!!

A Big Change

Well, tomorrow is the day. I have to leave my baby for the first time with his new babysitter. I can't believe it! My heart is aching and I feel terrible. We are going today to see her and drop off all his things. I just can't believe this is actually happening. I am going to be a sobbing mess. My first day back at work and I will be crying right along with the Kindergartners that miss their mommies. I'll just have to tell them that we are on the same boat, they miss their moms and I miss my baby :(

Ugh, Ugh, Ugh Women do this all the time and way sooner then 5 months, but it is still so hard. In my head I know everything will be okay, but my heart says, "waaaaaaaaa!"

Wish me luck!

I really have to stop shopping

I went back to Katie Bug's Kloset because I am obsessed and I have a shopping problem. I will admit it. Since I can't fit into my old size of clothes I refuse to buy anything for myself. The answer to this problem....buy for the baby. As you can see below, I found 5 shirts, 4 pants, a onesie, three books, and a set of flashcards for $47! Now I think this is a great price.
I couldn't resist on the books, you'll see why below.

I'm digging through their books and I find this one! A story featuring Rottweilers, what are the odds of that. If I hadn't gone to the store than I wouldn't have found this great find. My other obsession, in case I failed to mention, is children's books. I could probably start my own library with the amount of books I have, but I can't stop.

To top it all off my beautiful little man is 5 months old Today- August 23rd! I just can't believe how fast time has gone.

Just a side note...I really hate bibs. I wish they made really fashionable ones or ones that blended in with outfits (for cheap). I hate bibs because they cover up the cute outfit, but my child drools and barfs constantly so I need to have him wear them.
